I was outside with my dogs and saw what I thought was a hawk swoop down from a tree and snatch another bird up. It flew back into the tree, ate the other birds heart and threw the dead body down at me just as I was picking my small dog up to keep him safe. As I grabbed my dog, the dead birds body got stuck in my arms too while I watched the predator bird eyeball my dog. It flew right for my dog which I’d had to let loose to get the dead bird off of me. I caught the bird by the neck and held it. It struggled for a moment then became docile. It was a large black bird that looked like a raven. I was trying to figure out what to do with this bird when I woke up.
